From Daily Crashes to $1M+ Revenue: Rebuilding Cap Patrol's Platform
Cap Patrol partnered with Seven Hills Technology to rebuild and scale its platform for maintaining golf handicap integrity through automated score auditing and real-time data syncing. The result is a stable, modern system that protects fair play, improves user engagement, and unlocks over $1M in new annual revenue potential.
Overview
Cap Patrol is a golf software platform designed to maintain fair tournament play by monitoring players' handicaps. Initially plagued with stability and performance issues, the platform was unreliable, causing frustration for club administrators and golfers alike.
The Problem: Creating Fair Play in Competitive Golf
Golf is a sport that prides itself on integrity, but handicap manipulation has long been a challenge. Score manipulation undermines the competitive integrity of events, frustrating both club administrators and honest players.
Our Approach & Solutions
We identified and addressed critical system failures immediately: rewrote the backend data retrieval logic eliminating daily crashes, overhauled API integrations for accurate real-time USDA updates, and rebuilt the deployment pipeline for AWS.
We built a new React Native-based mobile app with seamless login, enhanced user engagement, and a single codebase for both iOS and Android. We also implemented webhooks for real-time data syncing and automated score validation with peer review.
“I have worked with Seven Hills over the past year, which has transformed how we manage our business and the solutions we can provide our customers. What has impressed me most is their team, who are always available to help with our issues and open to share their own insights into how we should address any solutions that will benefit our customers. I highly recommend Seven Hills for any business owner looking for an efficient and reliable software partner.”
