Atlas 10 Pavement Performance Consulting disrupts the traditional reactive “break/fix” model for asphalt and concrete pavements. Utilizing GPS/Geodata mapping technology, Atlas 10 offers clear and accurate identification of pavement defects while providing a proactive approach to its maintenance.
While their data collection has always been exact, the medium through which they delivered the data to the client was once difficult to interpret, labor-intensive, and lacked scalability.
Robert Lakeberg, CTO, envisioned a far more efficient system: a centralized database that could be effortlessly updated and managed at the enterprise level. Such a program allows each client to know the right treatment, at the right time, at the right place.
Although Lakeberg had a general solution in mind, he needed an agile and collaborative partner to help him refine and execute his vision. Together, Seven Hills and Atlas 10 designed and developed a web portal that centralizes data in a painless and scalable format.
“We needed help on scope and design as much as we needed help on development and that’s where you guys really helped out.”
CTO, Atlas 10
Through a bi-weekly sprint design process and active collaboration, Atlas 10 received a tailored experience that allowed them to turn ideas into bite-sized projects to be chewed off one at a time. The result was a centralized online mapping portal to store, manage, and translate the data they collect from survey sites.
- An increase in surveys performed from < 100 per year to nearly 200 per year since the web portal’s conception.
- An increase in repeat business due to accessibility and ability to track pavement improvements through the web portal.
- A reduction in man-hours of approximately 50% due to streamlined data-entry.
- Flexibility that allowed Atlas 10 to inject client-feedback into the software development without having to change the scope of the project.
“We felt really close to the project; like we could adopt, adapt, and improve as we go along.”
“We extended our reach by producing a superior product. We definitely got more sales because of it.”
